Members of Local 4017 sign the first ever labor/management agreement in the history of McKinney.  The Meet & Confer process has established a means for City Administration and Local 4017 members to address issues and concerns in an open and productive manner.  The work accomplished through M&C not only addresses wages and working conditions for McKinney fire fighters, but also results in a safer and more efficient fire department for the citizens of McKinney.  Pictured L to R are DCM Rick Chaffin, MFFA Secretary Michael Stiltz, MFFA President Steve Dorris, DCM Jim Parrish, and Fire Chief Mark Wallace.

Members of Local 4017 recently presented a check in the amount of $2500 to IAFF District VP Sandy McGhee.  The donation to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network was a part of Local 4017's "Care Enough to Wear Pink" campaign.  For more information on FCSN go to www.firefightercancersupport.org

In a joint effort between the MFFA and MFD, McKinney fire fighters will be participating in the “Care Enough to Wear Pink” Campaign honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Starting Tuesday, October 20^th we will be selling pink T-shirts to the public to benefit cancer related charities.  The shirts are $15 each and our proceeds will benefit Susan G. Koman for the Cure and the Fire Fighters Cancer Support Network.  Shirts are available at any fire station.
