PFFM APPROVES CHAPLIN PROGRAM
Updated
On: Mar 12, 2012 (18:47:00)
At the September union meeting the membership unanimously passed the revised budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal years. The newly revised budget allocates funding for start up costs associated with a Chaplain’s program for the PFFM. This newly funded program marks the first time in the history of the PFFM that a uniformed member, of both the local and the department, will act as an extension of the church within the organization. Brother Wasserman has graciously accepted the duties and responsibility that comes along with program.
The chaplain's primary focus is on the needs of the fire department and whatever situation the firefighters encounter where the chaplain may be of service to both the firefighters and their families. Essentially our chaplain is there to relieve the stress of the fire department itself or of a family in crisis.
Please thank Brother Wasserman for his commitment!
